AOI and the Egyptian Ministry of Supply signed a cooperation protocol
Lieutenant General “Abdel Moneim Al-Terras”, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, received Dr. “Ali Al-Moselhi”, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and the accompanying delegation from the ministry’s leaders.
During the visit, a protocol was signed for cooperation between Arab Industrialization and the Ministry of Supply, to supply all the needs of the Ministry of Supply in accordance with international quality standards, and to reinforce the state’s plan to convert bakeries to operate with natural gas instead of diesel.
In this regard, Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, praised the close and constructive cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, appreciating the Authority’s role in implementing various industrial and economic development projects, as it is an edifice of industrial scientific progress, pointing to the technological and human expertise that enables it to achieve all areas of cooperation With the required efficiency and the highest levels of quality and speed in implementation and timely delivery Al-Moselhi added that there is interest from the political leadership to implement transformation processes to use natural gas as an environmentally clean fuel, and immediately the Ministry of Supply signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Petroleum and the Ministry of Local Development to implement this, with the Ministry of Supply undertaking a complete inventory of the municipal bakeries that will be converted to work with natural gas.
At the level of the Republic, so that the first phase includes the conversion of 6525 bakeries to operate with natural gas instead of diesel and have a clear census and a complete map for other stages. We were able to implement the conversion plan also in cooperation with the Arab Company for industrialization in accordance with international quality standards, indicating that the state represented by the Ministry of Supply provided soft loans and multiple systems To make it easier for bakery owners to accelerate the use of natural gas in municipal bakeries as an alternative to diesel, and Al-Moselhi indicated to reassuring bakery owners that the Ministry of Supply will ensure the success of the project by providing all the necessary facilities In light of the cooperation protocol concluded today with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the authority will manufacture gas lighters for bakeries that will operate with natural gas instead of diesel.
Whereas, we have 30 thousand subsidized municipal bakeries and the bakeries that operate with natural gas have a ratio of 10-20%
Only from the total remaining bakeries, and the first phase will be implemented to convert the bakeries to work with gas, and each bakery will need 2-3 gas lighter A higher committee will be formed that includes all the parties concerned with implementing this project, and it will include representatives of the Ministry of Supply and the Arab Organization for Industrialization.
For his part, the “Terrace” stressed the importance of implementing the directives of President “Abdel Fattah El-Sisi” to strengthen constructive cooperation between state institutions and to exploit national manufacturing capabilities to implement national development projects.
He explained that it was agreed to participate with the Ministry of Supply in all development projects, by making use of the materials and equipment produced by the Arab Organization for Industrialization, factories, and its subsidiary companies, in accordance with international quality standards and at competitive market prices.
Al-Terras stated that it was agreed to provide and install gas lighters from the Arab Company for Industrialization, which operate with natural gas, for municipal bakeries, which will be converted from working with diesel to working with natural gas, in cooperation with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and under the supervision of the Natural
